(written 1.2.00) I was born on November 9, 1999 to my doggy parents Kate and Gus. My new human mom's name is Katherine, and my dad's name is Chris. They traveled from Pennsylvania to Ohio to pick me up from a very nice lady named Deb, who owns Shalane Kennels. When they came to get me on December 28, 1999, I was 7 weeks old. Lots of new things happened to me that day. Chris was the first man I'd ever really hung out with, and boy was I interested in that fuzzy hair on his face. He has fur like me! Deb, mom, and dad played with me for about three hours, and then mom and dad left with me in a car. We had to stay in it a long time, but I tried really hard to be a good puppy. Now that I'm used to my new mom and dad and my new home, I am having lots of fun. I like to chew, play, and explore, but my very favorite things to do are to sleep and eat. I have some toys that mom and dad put in my mouth when I am trying to nibble on their fingers. My favorite one of those is the compressed rawhide bone. It tastes really good! Mom has been holding this black thing up to her face and pressing a button. The black thing makes a noise and sometimes there is a flash of light. I'm not sure what it's all about, but she says that she wants to take lots of pictures of me before I grow up. And, she says that some of those pictures are going to be on my web page. I guess that's okay by me... I'll leave the details up to her. Well, that's all for now... I'm getting really sleepy so I've gotta go take a nap!!
