We're in a bit of a lull right now. Last weekend we went to Williamsburg, which was a lot of fun. Emma Kate had a great time meeting everyone and was especially fond of "Miss Teri." Anyway, this weekend has been sort of like catch up time, as there were a lot of things that needed doing around the house. I also ran 6 miles yesterday. I keep reminding myself I'm going to have to do twice that plus 1 in the race in April. A lot needs to happen between now and then, but I've only just completed week 1 of the training program, so I think it will be OK.
I wouldn't recommend celebrating the way we did - with a trip to the ER. We were shopping at around 6 pm on Saturday and Chris was holding Emma Kate's hand. She likes to go limp and drop to the floor... typical toddler antics, I guess. After several times of this, Chris anticipated and began to pull her back up while she was still going down. The result was a dislocated left elbow. We spent from about 7:30 to 10 at the emergency room where they x-rayed her and finally popped it back into place. However, she has not started to use the arm and so today Chris took her first to the pediatrician, who sent them to the orthopaedist. Everything is relatively OK, she just has some swelling in her forearm and is still in some pain. They gave her a sling to help alleviate the swelling. Here's a picture:

There's never a dull moment around here! And now Chris and I each can take responsibility for one ER trip... maybe this would be a good stopping point!
