I've been meaning to post this picture for a while now because it cracks me up:
And how could I resist posting this one? I promise I didn't set this up... I found her this way one morning this week when I went to wake her. That's
my Ernie in the picture.
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Hooray! We ran a good race this morning. I had set several goals for myself, and I achieved all of them that I had any control over: I didn't finish dead last, I finished in 33 minutes, and the one I'm most excited about... I finished in under 30 minutes! 29:13, to be exact, at least by my watch. My other goal was to not be last for my age/sex group, but I don't know how that turned out and now I'm not really worried about it. Chris stayed with me the whole way and finished right behind me. Here are some pictures, taken by his mom. She came to watch EK and they both came to the race to cheer us on, which was really nice.

I haven't updated on Hannah in quite a while. I am so pleased to report that her last PCV (Nov. 5) was 42%!! We will be keeping a close eye on her and if all is well, we won't check her again until the beginning of January. Here is her chart:

We have been dealing with a suspected UTI/bladder infection in the last week, but hopefully that's cleared up. We put her on amoxicillin, which she's taken before. I was nervous about it, but she's been fine this week. It was kind of weird; on the 8th I saw a decent amount of blood on the ground after I'd taken her out. She never showed any other symptoms (no frequent urinating, etc.) but her urine PH was high at 8.5 and there were some struvite crystals showing up. An ultrasound revealed no bladder stones, but they still suspected she had an infection even though they couldn't find any blood in the sample we took them. I'm thinking maybe we just caught the infection relatively early. We're taking another sample for them to check today; hopefully we'll get good news.

We're gearing up for our Thanksgiving trip to Georgia next week. According to Emma Kate, we are going to see Abby and Emily, "Miss L," "Mr. Arnold," "Miss Exie," and "Kenise." I am keeping my fingers crossed that my singing, jabbering child will show her true personality for her GA relatives. :)
The Star City Half Marathon and 5K is Saturday! I am getting excited. Chris and I both are running the 5K. I've had more rest days this week than usual and I think it is making me antsy to run. I hope it will make me fast on Saturday.
