Woo-hoo! Guess where I'm posting this from? The sunroom in my very own house! :) OK, so I'm sitting on the floor because the desk isn't put together yet, but still!

I found all but one of the computer parts not long after our stuff was delivered. The cable internet was installed on the 20th. The one computer part I couldn't find? The power cord for the CPU. Just a little bit important, right? I still don't know where it is, but tonight Chris and EK made a Staples run and bought one. Yay! Bye-bye, dialup! Hello, old familiar computer. I missed you.

Really quick update... the moving has begun. Over 200 boxes or items were carried in through our new front door today, by 3 guys from the moving company. Our new refrigerator was delivered, and the fence installer from Lowe's came to talk about fencing the back yard. We have also finished painting the walls of the master bedroom, but we still have to do the trim (not to mention get started on painting EK's room). It's been a busy, mind-boggling couple of days, and it seems like we have SO much to do now that we are finally reunited with our stuff after nearly 5 months. Tomorrow morning I think we're going to work on the kitchen... it's humid as all get out here so we kind of have to take a break from painting to give it plenty of time to dry. There's more, including the fact that we have nicknamed one room in the basement the "bomb shelter", plus a bunch of other stuff, but I've got to get to bed...

We went on a hike and picnic on Sunday. Mom, especially, had talked to Emma Kate a lot about the picnic in the couple of days leading up to it. At some point, Emma Kate told us that she was going to eat four hot dogs at the picnic. When it came time to eat on Sunday, she ate one bite of one hot dog. Yesterday, Chris asked her how many hot dogs she'd eaten at the picnic. Her response? "Four." :)
